Ocean Med® are a growing UK distributor providing medical and surgical devices into a number of core areas including Gynaecology, ENT and Urology. We have an opportunity to join our thriving team as an Area Sales Manager.

The role will be responsible for maintaining current customers and extending the sales to new customers. Taking charge of sales activities in key territories including Yorkshire, the North West, the North East and Scotland.

You will work with a large portfolio of innovative products ranging from surgical lasers, patient positioning (treatment chairs), visualisation systems (colposcopes, microscopes and imaging systems)

Applicants should reside in Yorkshire or the surrounding areas

 

Key responsibilities:

• Maintain accounts and develop business with customers previously not sold to.

• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.

• Provide a consultative role in the OR environment in accordance with specific product indications.

• Calling into outpatient / ambulatory departments.

• Supporting equipment both clinically and on a basic service level.

• Implement a comprehensive business plan aligned with fiscal goals.

• Collaborate with peers to support case coverage and address inventory requests.

• Identify and capitalise on new business prospects.

• Implement the Challenger Sales Methodology.

• Collaborate with colleagues working on quotes and tenders.

• Attending exhibitions nationally.

 

To be considered for the role, the candidate must closely match the following criteria:

• Proven track record of sales in surgical / medical devices with a preference in capital equipment with a minimum of 5 years capital sales experience or experienced service engineer looking for a move into sales.

• Understanding of customer needs and challenges.

• Degree level or nursing background preferred – but not mandatory

• Ability to thrive in a high-performing team.

• Overnight stays required.

• Full clean driving license
